Austin was born and raised in Pinehurst, North Carolina, where he picked up a golf club as soon as he could hold one. A decorated junior golfer, he won multiple tournaments and earned a North Carolina 4A State Championship title in high school.
Following graduation, Austin enlisted in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer, rising to the rank of Staff Sargent. During his final months of service, he interned at Ko'Olina Golf Club in Oahu, Hawaii where he began his journey as a PGA Associate.
After completeing his military career, Austin and his family returned to North Carolina. He went on to serve as a certified personal coach at Golftec Ballantyne, and later as an Assistnant Golf Professional at Rolling Hills Country Club in Monroe NC.
Most recently, Austin worked as a Player Development Professional at Firethorne Country Club, where he helped players of all skill levels reach their goals through individualized and group coaching.
Austin is excited to join the team at Charles T Myers. He is passionate about helping players not only refine their golf swing but also build flexibility, power, both on and off the course.
