I grew up and have lived most of my life in RI. In high school I attended LaSalle Academy and played on the golf team. I am also a graduate of Bryant University in Smithfield RI.
I played freshman baseball varsity basketball , varsity basketball and was captain and awarded All-State honors in soccer. My participation in a variety of sports really enhanced my my abilities in all of the other My experience in the multiple sports I played (as the principles of the American Development Model suggest) has made me a firm believer that crossover training in a variety sports and other physical activities enhance whatever sport that an individual may later decide to specialize in. Participation in various activities provide so many benefits especially when started as early as possible. Golf is a sport requiring complex body movements and excellent hand eye coordination and can especially benefit from cross training.
I enjoy teaching and coaching golf and take a wholistic approach to improving my students. My goals are to not only improve my students' golf swing on the practice range but to transfer these skills to the course and into competition. I also posses skills in golf club fitting and golf club building. Ideally the goal is to refine a student's golf swing, analyze their equipment and then fit and build a set of clubs so that students can optimize their play and as a result their enjoyment of the game whether they play for enjoyment or have a desire to play competitively.
I offer individual and group lessons and specialize in youth and adult beginner to intermediate skill levels.
