Born in Buffalo, New York, my life was shaped by a rich blend of cultures and experiences. The son of a Nigerian father and a Louisiana-born mother, I moved to Nigeria in 1979, where I spent my formative years. While attending high school, I excelled as a volleyball player, winning the 1986 World U-16 Championship in Turkey and representing Nigeria in the 1988 Seoul Olympics Qualifiers.
I returned to the United States to pursue my education in Aviation at Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe. I found my true passion in golf, beginning my career in 1998 at Chennault Park Golf Course. In 2002, I became a golf professional, and in 2006, I was appointed Director of Golf at Black Bear Golf Club in Delhi, Louisiana. Under my leadership, Black Bear achieved national acclaim, earning recognition as GolfDigest’s “America’s Best New Course” in 2007 and GolfWeek’s “Best Public Golf Course in Louisiana” from 2010 to 2016.
In 2016, I returned to Chennault Park, driven by sentiment and a commitment to preserving the course for the community. Since 2019, I serve as the General Manager at Goldsboro Golf Course & Event Center, where I continues to elevate the golf experience for players of all levels.
As a Class A PGA member since 2010, have competed in two PGA National Championships and several Adams-Tour Semi-professional tournaments. Beyond accolades, my vision has always been to set a new standard for public golf by offering exceptional service, affordable recreation, and a well-maintained course for the community and its visitors.
