Teaching Professional Bio
I am entering my 34th year as a PGA golf professional. Twenty-Five of those years as men’s and women’s golf coach at DePauw University and Indiana University. Five years ago I retired from DePauw University and relocated back to my “Region” roots to spend more time with family.
As an instructor, my teaching philosophy is to learn about your athletic background, do a physical evaluation and then help you set goals as a golfer. I will observe you as a golfer either on the driving range or on the course, then use a variety of teaching aids to provide you feedback in an effort to allow for the most efficient means of learning. I use both Trackman and video analysis to help you learn, along with more traditional modes of instruction. As a former NCAA D1 collegiate player and PGA professional I also understand and implement mental strategies used commonly in Sport Psychology.
