My journey in the PGA has come full circle, beginning when I graduated from the Professional Golf Management program at Mississippi State University, then spending almost 15 years outside the golf business, only to have the door of opportunity opened again for me in the summer of 2024 to get back in.
I have a passion for teaching the game of golf, which has never left even when I was not working in the golf business. Lessons with family and friends kept me involved and when the opportunity to teach on a more formal level again came about, I jumped at the chance and have not looked back. Along with teaching the game, I have also been given the opportunity to coach at the high school level, which has provided me with some of the most rewarding experiences in my professional golf career and something I will look forward to doing again in the future.
My background as a teaching professional includes working with beginners to advanced players, running clinics on various aspects of the game, and coordinating junior camps. I believe in developing a consistent swing by focusing on sound fundamentals and understanding the relationship between body movements and ball flight. To help my students accomplish swing improvements, we begin with slow repetitions, using drills that support the development of correct body movements and muscle memory for long term success.
That's all just the swing. I want to make sure there is a good understanding of all areas of the game, including putting, chipping, and course management. Together, I want to help golfers play the best golf of their lives!
