I became a PGA Coach in 2014 with a drive and a passion to help golfers improve and have more fun in this great game.
I was born up in Bellingham WA but I was raised in western New Mexico which is where I pickup up the game at 7. I played all through high school, having to ask the school to start a team so I could compete.
After high school I went to New Mexico State University for their PGA Golf Management program. I had a lot of great golf experiences in college including 2 internships with PGA Coach Will Robins who was a great mentor for me. After college I went to work for Coach Will full time. He taught me many great thing about being a coach and helped mold my philosophy to what it is today.
As your golf coach here are some things I will not do.
1. I will not change your swing purely for an aesthetic reason 2. I will not fit you into a mold of what I think a golf swing should look like 3. I will not tell you there is only one right way of doing things
These are things that I believe do more harm than good to the average golfer. As your coach I will only focus on changes that will functionally and objectively help you improve. I will teach you ways to simplify this already complicated game. And most importantly I will get your game to a place where you can have fun on the golf course.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your golfing goals
